Welcome to NorthLight Therapy Collective
At Northlight Therapy Collective, you’ll find compassionate, trauma-informed counselling designed to meet you where you are. Our therapists, based in Edmonton, Northern Alberta, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, offer both online therapy and in-person counselling to make care accessible, no matter where you live.
Whether you’re seeking support from an experienced therapist or a reduced-cost student counsellor under expert supervision, you’ll receive care that is safe, culturally aware, and tailored to your needs.
We believe healing is possible through connection, knowledge, and community. Let us help you take the next step toward well-being.

For Professionals
-
Consultation & Supervision
Meet monthly, quarterly, and/or as needed for consultation. Each member supervises at least one student or provisional annually, ensuring affordable access to care while transmitting knowledge and supporting the next generation. Students and provisionals may also be listed under their supervising professional. -
Collective Learning
Commit to additional training each year, above and beyond regulatory requirements. Trainings can often be done together at a reduced cost. Learning includes shared book studies and collective continuing education. -
Visibility & Voice
Shared costs, group contributions to the collective blog, and joint efforts for public visibility. Members also have the option to add a Northlight banner to their email signature to highlight their membership and values. -
Shared Resources
Access common templates (policies, consent forms, etc.) to adapt or build upon for personal practice. -
Community Commitment
All members give back by donating time to further the profession of psychology and by increasing access for underserved populations. -
Networking & Referrals
Members engage in community networking to ensure referrals are made in the client’s best interest — not just kept within the group. -
Collaboration & Independence
The collective values consultation, supervision, lifelong learning, and mentorship while also respecting the independence and differences of each professional.
